The Denver Dragons suffered their 3rd straight loss on Sunday, falling prey to the Zombies 8-3. A 5 run 1st inning was too much for the Dragons to overcome, even though they played solid defense the rest of the afternoon. Trailing 7-2, they saw a little spark of life in the top of the 7th when Mike Cotter lead off the inning with a 3B to straight away center followed by a 2B to left by Matt Goertz to drive in their 3rd run. Alex Uhls walked to put runners on first and second with nobody out but a strikeout and a double play ended that rally.

Their next game is Sunday, August 2, against Carlos Gonzales Sports at Prairie View HS with first pitch scheduled for 9am.

The Denver Dragons had another hard fought victory on July 5th against the Hitmen to push their season record to 3-5. Solid pitching from Stelly and newcomer DeNovellis, who combined for 11 Ks, and timely hitting all day helped the Dragons to their 9-7 victory.

They will look to extend their winning streak to 3 games on Sunday, July 12, against the Dirtbags. The Dirtbags took the first game on opening day 11-1, but the Dragons know that they are a different team now and will be hungry for a win. The game will be played at Regis High School with first pitch scheduled for 4:00pm.
