Denver Sloths move to 2-0 with 7-4 win over the Bad News Bears

The Denver Sloths improve to 2-0 early in the 2023 NABA campaign. With a week off for Easter Sunday, the Sloths came out swinging taking and early lead in the top of the 1st. After giving up 2 in the bottom have of the inning, pitcher Aaron Lockwood settled down going 7 strong innings allowing 4 runs (2 earned) and giving his squad a chance to win. The game broke open in the 7th when the Sloths scored 4 runs off a pair of singles and 5 walks and the aid of two wild pitches. Hot at the plate Sunday was #42 Damien Gomez going 2-4 with a run and 3 RBIs and #32 Ryan Wiseman hitting 2-4 with a run and 2 RBIs.

The Sloths look to remain perfect and move to 3-0 this Sunday when they face off against the Wise Guys at North H.S.

The National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation (NPCF) is a nonprofit organization founded in 2009.   They provide unwavering support to patients touched by pancreatic cancer.  They work to provide a longer and better quality of life, to people affected by pancreatic cancer.

Through volunteers, NPCF provides an opportunity to care for those afflicted by this devastating disease.  They help family members to find support and community while they join the fight.

Pancreatic Cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer deaths in the United States. There is no known cure, however, there are new developments every day.

Sloths open 2022 NABA season on a slow note

Sloths nation took one on the chin Sunday, dropping their season opener 10-0 against the Cutthroats. The Cutthroats were able to piece together a 1 hitter amongst 4 pitchers with the lone hit coming off the bat of LF Jordan Osborn. Starting pitcher Brett Schlueter went a solid 5 innings giving up 4 earned runs over 6 hits. Max Wright and Zach Rodriguez finished the ball game in relief. The Sloths will look for their first win next week against the Ballers.
