The A's managed only one run in a 12-1 loss to the Aces. With the loss the Athletics fall to 6-3 on the year and the loss snaps the A's five game winning streak. Aces pitchers struck out 11 and overall had the A's guessing at the plate. Nick pitched well for the A's but his effort was not enough to spark the offense as he struck out 9 in 5 2/3 innings pitched. The A's look to get back on track against the Monarchs on Sunday June 23rd against the Monarchs at North High School.

Athletics hold off the Fisher-Cats

A's fight through a late rally by the Fisher-Cats to win fifth straight

The A's secured their fifth straight win by staring off the game fast scoring 7 of their 10 runs in the first inning. The Fisher-Cats stayed tough and fought through the entire game to make it close at the end. A late game rally fell short as the A's win 10-7 in an important division game. CJ came through for the A's going 3-3 with 3 RBI's. Starting pitcher Corey records the win striking out 7 in 5 innings of work. Nick secured the win striking out 7 of his own in 4 inning of work. Next week the A's take on the second place Aces at Adams City High School at 12:30pm.

A's Shutout Crush

A's Pitching Dominates the Crush with 13 Strikeouts

The Colorado Athletics rely on the arms of their pitchers to record a 5-0 win over the Crush. Starting pitcher Nick L. gets the win strinking out 8 over an impressive 5 innings pitched, while Corey slammed the door shut recording 5 strikeouts over the last four innings. Between the two they only gave up three hits to combine for the shutout. The A's bats were fairly silent, but scored just enough for the win. Next week the A's take on the Fisher-Cats at Green Mountain High School at 12:30 pm.
