Hitmen Ode, I love this game!

I heard someone once say, I love this game

Yes, I love this game to the core of who I am

It’s the smell of freshly cut grass or the sight of Fast Eddy stretching for a triple leaving billows of dust in his wake

It’s a 3 - 2 count, man on 3rd, down by 1 and LA is on the mound challenged by a feeble attempt from our foe to steel home

I love this game, echoes in the darkness as the fall season descends on the earth

You know it’s true when Mississippi is found rearing back to light up the day with his 3 knuckle chair and G is yelling come on J, throw it

I love this game can be seen and heard when B yells out corners in you "sons of bitches"

I love this game, a timeless piece of life that can only be fully understood by those who participate

It’s the sounds from the stands when silence breaks after boomy hollers "come on buttercup, you can do it"

Or Rico Suave with 0 strike outs in 8 straight games followed by mound of mounds of mounds of hits

I love this game, not to be misunderstood by any other game invented by man

It can be heard from the left field walls, the inaudible sounds only understood by cave men and the one they call loud and proud

It is known clearly that dirty birds do fly in Colorado, just the bald ones that give high flying salutes

I love this game, if I didn't I wouldn't spend so much time with it

Someone once said, I love this game, someone once said BP on Wednesday's and laser shots from center field on Sunday's

That I can tell you is true, when a man lays down a bunt and with glee in his eye heads back to the dugout, he deserves a new name, D-Wein is what I will call him!

I love this game, a game that has given so much and asked so little

You know it’s there when you've seen it only once and you know it has the makings of something special,

Because it hasn't touched the field since cup checks were mandatory before games but wow's the coaches with poise accuracy

When it comes out and plays for you without reservation, without judgment, without hesitation but brings a since of joy and passion that can be seen by all

It too deserves a new name, we will call him A-Frame!

I truly love this game, I love coaching, I love playing, and I love to see the joy on each players face when we win

I also take the good with the bad and I hate seeing discontent and sadness on when we loose

But it is all and all what makes it the greatest, most amazing game I will ever know!

Baseball, I love this game!
