18 K's propel the team to it's third consecutive victory

The Green Sox defeated the Flying Squirrels 17-7 in 8 innings at Denver East, the team's third straight win after dropping the season opener. Matt Hagen got the start, striking out an amazing 15 batters in 5 innings. Gary Mess got the win in relief, striking out 1 and Matt Jensen closed it out with two K's of his own. In all, Sox pitchers struck out 18. After being down early, the Green Sox broke a 7-7 tie late in the game as Chris Wood's sacrifice bunt was turned into a two-run, three base error. Boulder proceeded to mercy the Squirrels as time was expiring with a big eighth inning, capped by Jensen's 2 run homer. check out http://bouldergreensox.com/ for more details!
